International Trade & Export

The Canadian Textile Industry Association (CTIA) views international trade as a key long-term growth driver for companies across the sector.

The International Trade & Export Committee is mandated to examine international market issues, report findings to members, and track evolving trade policies. It also keeps companies informed of developments, changes, or concerns that may affect their import and export activities.

At the request of the Government of Canada, the committee may represent the industry in discussions or negotiations related to various trade agreements, including the Canada–European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), the Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), and the MERCOSUR agreement.

In doing so, the committee gives members a meaningful voice on Canada’s trade policies and import and export strategies.
