Environment & Sustainable Development

The Canadian Textile Industry Association (CTIA) recognizes the importance of sustainable development and environmental responsibility within Canada’s textile industry.

CTIA views sustainable development as a core component of sound business strategy and a key driver of success in both domestic and international markets.

Established by CTIA, the Environment & Sustainable Development Committee is mandated to examine environmental issues, report findings to members, and track legislative and regulatory developments that may affect the industry. It also works to raise awareness among companies about the value of building and implementing a meaningful sustainability strategy.

The committee represents the industry across various strategic forums on environment and climate change.
